ART EDUCATION PROGRAMS & ART ENRICHMENT

Art education and art enrichment encourages the love of learning and personal development. It is about the exploration of different art mediums and can be done at different skill levels. We believe in the therapeutic qualities that art can bring, where the actual art making process is calming, soothing and healing. It will be important to learn different art making techniques to have the skills and options to best express yourself through art.

ART EDUCATION PROGRAMS

We believe in the therapeutic benefits of art, incorporating Positive Art Therapy approaches in specially curated and designed art curriculums, workshops and programs.

Art therapy based art curriculums incorporate Art as Therapy approaches when applied in educational settings, when not physically conducted by an art therapist. Trainings can be conducted to be better understand the concept of art therapy and the approaches within the curriculums / programs.

Using a client centred approach, we mindfully plan the framework for individuals, schools, charities and organisations.

We have developed curriculums and programs for:

  • Early Childhood / Kindergartens / Nursery
  • Primary / Secondary / Tertiary
  • Youths
  • Adult Learning / Diploma Level / Certification Level

We encourage learning opportunities with different schools at different levels and internships.
Education journeys with art for good have included school learning journeys, where the students learn more about social enterprises and how they work. We have even had Korean students from Kangnam University visit is as well!

We encourage CIP projects for where students plan and facilitate their own Art for Good projects!

We also have had a few interns join us at different stages, to help us with our projects.

COMMUNITY ART

Giving back through community art projects gives meaning, a sense of appreciation and makes the world a beautiful place. Community art creates a more inclusive society by involvement and engagement. With our understanding and expertise in art, we are able to create Community Art projects with different objectives catered to a wide range of audiences. Ultimately such projects are created to use art for social impact, creating Art for Good.

Art is used here to create team bonding events, to build rapport and relationships within the team. Our team bonding art activities bring out the different strengths of individuals by creating together. Participants need not be artistically inclined. We design and customise such activities to cater to individuals on different skill levels. Most importantly, we create a give back element, making this a meaningful event for all those participating and attending.

Projects:

Art for the Community is meant for public engagement and interaction. The objective is to create an arts making culture in Singapore, by introducing artists and art making to the community. Our art events generally involves a simple art activity event which promotes different forms of art of which members of the community can actively participate. Making the arts part of our lives can help us to better appreciate ourselves as a community and enrich us culturally. We design an art program which can engage individuals with different skill levels.

At Art for Good, we believe strongly in the element of giving back and creating good. We have partnered and collaborated with many charity organisations in creating meaningful and memorable art events. Some of these art activities include interesting ones like food art and music combined with visual arts. We have worked with different population groups, a children’s home (where we were graced by the President of Singapore); Refugees and their children; Children from low income families; Children with Special Needs; Children with Cancer.

Projects:

We create murals to beautify spaces and walls. It has been shown that public art is not only important to beautifying an area and making it more inviting for its citizens, but it also adds value to all the surrounding assets. The objectives and designs for such mural activities will differ based on the space, organisation and people involved in creating it. At Art for Good, murals can be created by the community, as a form of team bonding activity, or by professional artists. Most of our murals are created for charities, non-profit organisations and educational institutions.
